| Singapore Hockey Federation announces final squad for the YOG
21 July 2010, SINGAPORE | The Singapore Hockey Federation (SHF) has confirmed the final 16 players for next month's inaugural Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. The team will be coached by Gerard Danker and assisted by Sunil Prasad.
Savinder Singh Dhillon, a teacher has been appointed as the Team Manager and Andrew Meredith, the Assistant Coach for Germany's Men's Hockey Team has been appointed the Technical Consultant with Muhammad Azahari bin Osman and Muhammad Nabil bin Zaidi named as standby train on player in case one of the final 16 have the misfortune of injury bestowed upon them.
The Squad which started with more than 60 athletes has now finally been cut to 16 players as per Singapore National Olympic Council's requirements. The squad has had training stints in both Malaysia and Singapore in the past month.
