Former national player writes song for YOG opening show

28 July 2010, SINGAPORE | Former Singapore national women's hockey player Geraldine Ho has weaved her wonders off the hockey pitch by being bestowed with the honour of writing one of the songs at the opening show of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games to be held in Singapore form 3 august to 26 August here in Singapore.

The exceptionally talent player is not new to the music world. Besides writing songs, Ho also sings and is better known in the industry as Ger. The singer-song writer cum hockey player had her song "My Special Angel" reached number one back in 1997. Its noteworthy that she knocked off Toni Braxton in the process.

Ho will have her song "For What we believe" sung at the opening show and add another feather to the cap of this exceptionally talented women who continues to score goals in the local premier league for her club Police Sports Association.

A truly committed person, Ho deserves the applause of the hockey fraternity for her current achievement.-story by SHF
