Saturday, 6 March 2021 – The first-ever double gender Hockey 3s reached its pinnacle when the four strongest teams made it to the final playoffs.
The tournament, held by Singapore Hockey Federation in conjunction with ActiveSG saw a total of twelve boys and sixteen girls team each divided into two groups to contest the round-robin preliminaries from January 30 to February 21 at Seng Kang Hockey Stadium.
Crescent D started the weekend with a hard-fought 11-10 against Crescent A during the boys third-place playoffs. Meanwhile at the girls, Crescent D rallied to beat Crescent A in a 10-4 comprehensive win, finishing third.
In the finals, Uwcsea Dover Phoenix White came up in full strength with a 9-7 victory against Uwcsea Dover Phoenix Blue, steering them as the girls’ champions. Jansenites Kampong pulled off a remarkable win over closest rival Crescent C in a 21-9 triumph.
In attendance as guest-of-honour was SHF President, Mathavan Devadas and ActiveSG Deputy Chief, Marcus Tan.
